EURO COINS - YEAR 2006Version Proof
- 27 April 2006The Numismatic Office of Vatican City presents the new series of coins in the double version, BU and proof. The series, which Is composed by 8 coins (2 and 1 Euro, 50, 20, 10, 5, 2, 1 Eurocent) bears the date '2006'.The reverse side is common to all the countries, while the obverse shows His Holiness Benedict XVI, sovereign of Vatican City State, the text 'CITTA DEL VATICANO' and twelve stars. The proof version is enriched by a silver medal, on the theme: « The four Evangelists: St. Matthew ».
