Restoration of the Colonnade of St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican

UFN - Philatelic Certificate of Participation


The Philatelic and Numismatic Office belonging to the Governatorato of the Vatican City, last November 20th, 2012 has issued a philatelic certificate of participation in the restoration of the Colonnade of St. Peter’s Square at the Vatican.
This certificate consists of a sheetlet with postal validity, with two stamps, each one worth 10 euros for a total cost of 20 euros.
Through this extraordinary issue, the Philatelic and Numismatic Office wants to give its contribution and offer the opportunity to all collectors and those who love art, history and culture, to be part of the remodelling of the famous Bernini Colonnade.
This certificate is available in two versions in a limited edition, at the price of 20 euros each. One has the Latin inscription “Officium Philatelicum et Nomismaticum” and the other one can be customized with the name and last name of the person who contributes to the renovation.
All those who want to buy the certificate, can download the order form that can be found in the “NEWS” section (this has to be filled with all the information requested for shipping and sent to the UFN via mail, fax or email). The customer can choose between registered mail for € 2.60 or certified mail for € 6, or apply directly to the Philatelic and Numismatic Office as to follow:

•    At the shop located in Piazza Santa Marta (inside the Vatican City)
•    At the Office for Pilgrims and Tourists located in St. Peter’s Square
•    At the book shop located inside the Vatican Museums

All the collectors already included in the mailing list of the Philatelic and Numismatic Office will receive the order form along with the information pamphlet in the mail. If, however, they wish to use the form available online they should include their name and account number in the space at the top right of the form.

Those who are not included in the customer list of the Philatelic and Numismatic Office will have to enter their details (i.e. name, address, telephone number and e-mail address) as per above.
