In Cleveland, the Twentieth Anniversary of the Ohio Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums is Celebrated

Twenty years of activity for the Ohio Chapter of the Patrons of the Arts in the Vatican Museums and its leadership. This dual anniversary was celebrated with a ceremony held on Friday, December 5 in Cleveland.

For the occasion, Sr. Raffaella Petrini, President of the Governorate, expressed profound gratitude to the Ohio Patrons for their twenty years of support in preserving the artistic heritage of the Vatican Museums. In the presence of the Bishop of Cleveland, Monsignor Edward Charles Malesic, along with numerous priests, religious and supporters, the mission of the group was commemorated: to promote the restoration and protection of Vatican artworks.

The President of the Governorate offered special recognition to Lorraine Dodero, leader of the Ohio Chapter, praising her constant dedication both to the local community and to the initiatives of the Patrons. Sr. Petrini emphasized the importance of Dodero’s work and that of the Ohio Chapter in ensuring that the artistic and cultural heritage of the Vatican Museums is conserved and continues to inspire future generations.

The evening concluded with an official expression of gratitude to Dodero, her husband Bill, and all members of the organization, accompanied by wishes of peace and hope for the Christmas season. The President presented Mrs. Dodero with a set of the 2024 Vatican City State divisional coins, including the COTY award winner for best gold coin of 2025, with the theme of War and Peace.
