Sixty Roses Planted in the Vatican Gardens
Sixty rose bushes were planted in the Rose Garden of the Vatican Gardens to commemorate the 190th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Holy See and Colombia (1835–2025).
The planting ceremony took place on the morning of Thursday, September 11, near the Leo XIII Palazzo in the Vatican Gardens. Among those present were Monsignor Bruno Bastos Lins, Deputy Chief of Protocol of the Secretariat of State, Engineer Salvatore Farina, Director of Infrastructure and Services, the Ambassador of Colombia to the Holy See, H.E. Mr. Iván Velásquez Gómez, the Ambassador of Colombia to the Italian Republic, H.E. Ms. Ligia Margarita Quessep Bitar and former Ambassador of Colombia to the Holy See, H.E. Mr. Alberto Ospina Carreño.
