The President of the Governorate Presented two Pontifical Honors
The President of the Governorate of Vatican City State, Sr. Raffaella Petrini, on Friday morning, December 12, presented two pontifical honors to two officials of the Vatican Museums who have reached retirement.
They are Francesca Persegati, former chief restorer of the Painting and Wooden Materials Restoration Laboratory of the Vatican Museums, who was awarded the title of Dame of Saint Sylvester, and Marco Pratelli, Master Restorer of the same Laboratory, who was awarded the title of Knight of Saint Gregory the Great.
Present at the ceremony were the Director of Museums and Cultural Heritage, Barbara Jatta; the Deputy Director for Administrative and Managerial Affairs, Alberto Albanesi; Paolo Violini, Chief restorer of the Painting and Wooden Materials Restoration Laboratory of the Vatican Museums; and Angela Cerreta, Master Restorer of the same Laboratory.
